Plugs
At Stone Row Farm, every plant, whether it began by seed or a cutting, starts it’s life as a plug. Plugs are “starter plants” and are small plants grown in trays. As they grow they develop a healthy root system with a soil-less medium around them. This makes plugs easy to plant in difficult areas!
Book your plug order in advance! Our plug crops vary from year to year, so the plugs you’re looking for may not always be in stock. Please contact our sales team to ask whether your plugs are available and when the next crop will be ready.
CONTAINER GROWN Trees & Shrubs
1 and 2-Gallon Pots
Our top sellers, the trees and shrubs in one and two-gallon pots are well on their way to becoming mature plants easily established in the landscape due to their healthy root systems. Due to their size, they aren’t too heavy yet, kids and the elderly can handle them, This makes them versatile and a great options for cities to use for volunteer plantings, community programs or urban reforestation. The majority of 1 and 2-gallon products can be stacked as well, making them efficient to transport!
5-Gallon, 7-Gallon and 15-Gallon Pots
5, 7 and 15-gallon pots are the middle ground between smaller pots and wire baskets. Their main benefit is their versatility — these trees are robust, healthy and mature, yet are still able to be carried by hand. Majority in this size category are trees, these pot sizes are big sellers.
WIRE BASKETS
Strong and healthy, wire baskets trees are field grown and can be planted directly into any landscape. Since we have an excellent network of partners we can match most planting sites with root ball soil quality at the top of the list. All wire basket trees are fully developed, ready for sites where maturity and an instant canopy is crucial, such as city streets, parks, and back yard privacy.
